PURPOSE:To enable reliable sealing of a bead surface and sticking and unification of a backplate to the same, by a method wherein a pair of holding boards and a large number of actuating bodies which are movable in a radial direction are provided in a row on the lower end of a press elevator compound rod and the backplate for pressing of a tire bead part is provided on the tip of the each actuating bodies. CONSTITUTION:When a solid piston rod 17a is lowered, a tapered slope 5a of each of actuating bodies provided on a holding board 22 in a row is forced to move by abutting against an annular actuator 11 of stationary holding member 19. Therefore, actuating bodies 5 each are all moved forward against a pulling back coil spring 6 in a radial direction, also the backplates 8, 9 each provided on the tips of the actuating bodies 5 each are moved forward by performing expansion of the diameter and becomes a reverse position of a bead part 25 of a green tire 24. Then the backplates 8, 9 each are press- contacted onto the bead part 25 by lowering of the piston rod 17a, a tight seal in the bead part 25 of the green tire 24 belonging to a split mold 1 is obtained and the green tire 24 can be constituted as a sealed space. |
