PURPOSE:To stably feed paper by connecting a platen to a power mechanism for driving a paper feed tractor in a drivable manner so that a roller is brought into contact with the platen under definite load and rotated at a speed equal to or more than that of the platen. CONSTITUTION:A paper press shaft 5 having a non-circular cross-section is arranged to the upper part of a printing head 10 and a plurality of delivery rollers 4 are provided to said shaft 5 and, in the case of continuous paper 11, paper feed rollers 12, 13 are separated from a platen 7 and the pins of a tractor 9 are engaged with the feed holes of the continuous paper 11 and the tractor 9 is driven to feed the continuous paper to a paper guide plate 8 and a paper guide auxiliary plate 6. In order to apply tension of a certain degree to the paper 11 by the delivery rollers 4 on a delivery side and the platen 7, the peripheral speed Va of the platen is set with respect to the peripheral speed Vc of the tractor so as to form Va >= Vc and the peripheral speed Vb of the delivery rollers is set with respect to the peripheral speed Va of the platen so as to form Vb >= Va. As a result, the slackening of the paper due to the speed difference between respective paper parts is not generated and definite load can be always allowed to act on the printing paper. Therefore, stable paper feed of high accuracy is obtained. |
