PURPOSE:To prevent trouble from occurring to the system by sending a specific signal to a camera main body side for a time required to absorb the backlash of a motor driven gear. CONSTITUTION:A lens microcomputer 14 sends a Busy signal to a camera microcomputer 9 when the current rotating directions of lens-side motors 28, 29, and 30 are opposite from their last rotating directions. This signal teaches the camera microcomputer 9 the state wherein a driven transmission system is not driven for a time corresponding to play due to the backlash of the gear. In response to this signal, the camera microcomputer 9 sets a timer a little bit longer than time lag generated by the backlash and the Busy signal is sent continuously during this time; and the interruption of another routine and transmission to the lens entered after the timer enters the time-out state. |
