PURPOSE:To produce a relatively inexpensive and lightweight prism mounting plate by molding a liquid crystal polymer in such a manner that the flow direction thereof is in the direction nearly perpendicular to the joint surfaces of respective prism blocks. CONSTITUTION:A melt is injected to the prism mounting plate 1 from one end face 1e and is fluidized in the direction perpendicular to the joint surfaces in the position corresponding to the respective joint surfaces of the prisms. The prism mounting plate 1 which has the small coefft. of linear expansion in the direction perpendicular to the respective joint surfaces of the prisms is, therefore, produced and the prisms by a temp. change are hardly cracked. The inexpensive and lightweight prism mounting plate 1 is produced in this way. |
