摘要 The invention relates to a device and to a process for pickling objects of steel, preferably of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, in an aqueous hydrogen fluoride solution, ozone being continuously fed to this pickling bath consisting of aqueous hydrofluoric acid. The ozone is fed in the gaseous form to the pickling bath. In a modification of the invention, the ozone is fed to the pickling bath in a mixer from an aqueous solution and in the gaseous form. The aqueous solution of hydrofluoric acid advantageously consists of 30-40 g/l of HF. According to the invention, the starting quantity of Fe<3+> ions forms from the pickling material when the pickling process is started. The ozone is generated in an ozone generator in the vicinity of the pickling bath and fed to an injector, in which mixing with and partial solution in water take place. <IMAGE>
