The method for preparing azole derivatives (I) R1 and R2 =(C1-C5) alkyl or hydrogen; X=halogen atom, (C1-C5) alkyl or phenyl group; n=0-2; A=nitrogen atom or (H) having plant blight inhibition and growth control comprises: (a) adding 44.8g of methyl 1-(4- chlorobenzyl)-3,3-dimethyl-2-oxycyclopentane carboxylate to 120ml of bromic acid and agitating at 100≦̸C for 12 hrs.; (b) cooling the reaction mixtures and extracting with ethylacetate to obtain organic layer; (c) washing organic layer with sodium bicarbonate solution and drying.
