APPARATUS FOR FORMING WINDOW GLASS WITH MOLDING

PURPOSE:To enhance manufacturing efficiency by preparing two lower molds with respect to one upper mold and setting new plate glass to one lower mold while forming a molding between the other lower mold and the upper mold to prepare for the next molding. CONSTITUTION:An upper mold 6 and a lower mold 9a are clamped and a cavity 10 to which the peripheral edge part of plate glass G is faced is formed between both molds. The plate glass G is held by the clampers 11 composed of an elastic material provided to the molds to be prevented from damage. Subsequently, polyvinyl chloride or a reaction type mixed raw material resin is injected in the cavity to be cured for a predetermined time and the upper mold 6 is subsequently raised and slide tables 8a, 8b are moved to the right in a drawing and the lower mold 9a is moved to the delivery position outside a mold clamping machine 2 to deliver the plate glass G as a product having a molding formed along the peripheral edge thereof while a lower mold 9b is moved to a clamping position and the upper mold 6 is allowed to fall to perform mold clamping. By repeating this operation, window glass with a molding is continuously formed.
