Endometrium brush, comprising a flexible shaft 10 with a grip 11 at one end of the shaft and brush hairs which are distributed over a section 13 at the other end of the shaft, and a flexible protective tube 16 which is arranged on the shaft and can be displaced along the latter between a first position, in which the tube covers the hair section, and a second position, in which the hair section is exposed, the shaft being provided, a distance inside the hair section, with a plug 18 which can be moved like a plunger in the protective tube. The invention also concerns the use of this endometrium brush. After a cell sample has been taken using the brush, with the latter at a distance from the adjoining end of the protective tube 16 in the said second position, secreted material is aspirated in from the uterus by means of the plunger-like plug 18 on the shaft 10 while the hair-covered section 13 is drawn into the protective tube 16. <IMAGE> |
