PURPOSE:To perform genetic engineering mass-production of a heat-resistant aminopeptidase having excellent heat-resistance and heat-stability and useful as a reagent, bioreactor, etc., by using a DNA sequence coding a specific aminopeptidase. CONSTITUTION:A highly heat-resistant aminopeptidase (AP-T) has been separated and purified from a chromosome DNA of Thermus aquatics YT-1 (ATCC 25104) belonging to genus Thermus and the base sequence of a DNA coding said enzyme has been determined. It has been found that the AP-T has the amino acid sequence shown by the formula. |
