PURPOSE:To always generate a proper alarm by detecting the distance between an own vehicle and an another vehicle or an obstacle and setting the safe speed on the basis of the result of the detection and driving an alarm part according to the result of the comparison between the safe speed and the actually measured operation speed. CONSTITUTION:Each data of a number of distance detectors 6-10 arranged in each part of a vehicle is inputted into a safe speed setting means 11, and the safe speed corresponding to the data is set. The output of the safe speed setting means 11 and the output of a speed measuring means 12 for actually measuring the operation speed of the vehicle are compared by a comparing means 13. When R = operation speed/safe speed, if R<=1, a display part 15, alarm part 14, and a deceleration operation part 16 are put into inoperative, and if 1<R<=1.5, only the display part 15 is driven, and if 1.5<R<=2, the display part 15 and the alarm part 14 are driven, and if 2.0<R, the display part 15, alarm part 4, and the deceleration operation part 16 are driven.
