PURPOSE:To improve reduction efficiency, in the case that nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas of a Diesel engine is reduced by applying ammonia, by controlling supplying amount of ammonia according to the fuel supplying amount, and thereby always optimally controlling supplying amount of ammonia. CONSTITUTION:A fuel jet pump 12 of a Diesel engine 10 is rotated by a cam shaft 13, and fuel jet amount thereof is adjusted by a mechanical governor 15. An ammonia supplying device 21 is arranged on an upstream side of an exhaust gas purification device 20 connected to an exhaust pipe 19, an rate adjusting valve 22 is installed on the way of which exhaust pipe 19. The position of a control rack 24 which controls fuel jet amount of the fuel jet pump 12 is detected by a rack sensor 25. The rate adjusting valve 22 is controlled according to the detecting signal of the rack sensor by means of a controller 23. That is, ammonia supplying amount is controlled according to the fuel supplying amount.
