PURPOSE:To output an audio signal having a musical interval for recording independently of the reproducing speed by providing an expanding means which expands the audio signal in a sound period over a silence period on the time base. CONSTITUTION:Storage means (buffers) 1 and 2 where the audio signal reproduced at the reproducing speed higher than the recording speed is stored, a sound detecting means 506 which detects the sound period and the silence period on the time base of the audio signal in response to the reproduced audio signal, and an expanding means 511 which expands the audio signal in the sound period over the silence period on the time base in response to the sound detecting means 506 are provided. The audio signal in the sound period is expanded over the silence period in response to the sound detecting means 506. Thus, the reproduced audio signal having the interval for recording is obtained. |
