RESIN-BASED ARTICIFIAL MARBLE COMPOSITIONS

The invention provides resin-based compositions with an improved hot water- resistance, which can be cast to give marble- like articles usable as bath tubs, kitchen work surfaces, wash hand basins o r the like. The resin-based compositions of the inven- tion are composed of (A) an unsaturated polyester resin component comprising an unsaturated polyester and a polymerizable un- saturated monomer and (B) a silane coupling agent-coated aluminium hydroxide component, in a specifically defined propor- tion.
