PURPOSE:To improve capturing efficiency by bubbling a sampling gas in cooling water. CONSTITUTION:The sampling gas withdrawn from a sampling point by the operation of a pump 12 is bubbled into the cooling water W from the front end of a bubbling pipe 13. The steam in the sampled sampling gas is cooled to <=0 deg.C in the cooling water and is condensed. The condensed gas is captured into a cooling vessel 10. The volume of the captured steam is measured from the water level of the cooling water W upon lapse of the prescribed capturing period and the quantity of the captured tritium and the quantity of the radio activity are calculated. The tritium is thus continuously captured with one cooling vessel in such a manner, by which the capturing efficiency is improved with the simple device.
