PURPOSE:To remove the non-uniform part of density by alternately outputting the respective axial position signals of two photomultiplier tubes at each time when radioactive rays are incident between adjacent photomultiplier tubes. CONSTITUTION:The radioactive rays emitted from the RI (radioisotope) 10 administered in an object 11 to be examined and passed through a collimator 13 are incident on a scintillator and scintillation light is supplied to photomultiplier tubes 16 in the quantity proportional to the energy value thereof. These photomultiplier tubes 16 supply electric signals proportional to the supplied lights to a position calculator 18 which in turn divides said signals into coordinates axis groups to calculates the position data of respective radiation incident positions on the basis of the signal groups. The incident position data of radioactive rays is calculated on the basis of the calculated position data. When the position signals of the signal groups are calculated, at each time when the radiation incident position comes between adjacent photomultiplier tubes, the position signals corresponding to those photomultiplier tubes 16 are changed over to be outputted.
