The make-up cosmetic compsn. is prepd. by (a) adsorbing 5-10 wt.% acid-treated titanium dioxide of 0.5-5 micron particle size to 80- 94.8 wt.% mica of 20-100 micron particle size, (b) cleaning, dewatering and drying the filtrate at 100-120 deg.C for 24hr to obtain soft focus powders, (c) mixing the powders with 0.2-10 wt.% methylhydrogen polysiloxane as a reactive silicone, and (d) treating the mixt. at 60-150 deg.C and 800-1000 millibar. The cosmetic compsn. is used in the manufacture of emulsion-type foundation and oil cake-type foundation, and has a good durability, emulsion-stability and water-resistance.
