The glass surface is etched by slowly pouring 100 wt.% distilled water, 90-120 wt.% C3H5(OH)3, 55-65 wt.% starch powder with 300 mesh or more and 80 wt.% NH4F.HF into a stirrer, warming up in a double boiler at 90-100 deg.C for 20-25 minutes, cooling at room temp., adding 33-60 wt.% aluminium oxide with 230 mesh or more to 100 wt.% mixture, mixing to make a cream phase, screen- printing with this cream mixture in the conventional way, and wash- treating after 2-5 minutes.
