A cross (1) for a universal joint has axial recesses (11a) in the ends of the arms (2a). In the outer part of each of these recesses (11a) there is pressed-in a reinforcing plug (13a). By these means, each arm receives a modified elasticity which leads to a more uniform load on the bearing, with which the arm is intended to interact. This leads to improved bearing life. |
