A fluorescent material is produced by (a) adding H3BO3, Eu2O3 and Tb4O7 as an activator, In, Ga and Sm cpd. as a co-activator, and BaF2, Li2CO3, K2HPO4 and metal-halogenated cpd. as a flux to Al2O3, firing the mixt. under the atmosphere at 800-1600 deg.C for 30 min- 6hr. The orange-emitted fluorescent composed of AlBO3: Eu, Tb, M [M= at least one of In, Ga and Sm has a good emission luminance and chemical stability, is used in CRT for displays..
