A cable plug 1, whose contacts mate with the terminals 6 of a printed circuit board 3 forming part of an electrical circuit assembly 2 having a fascia plate 4 with indicator light sources 5, is provided with light conductors 8 so that light from the energised light sources is visible at the front face 10 of the plug. The light sources indicate switching functions of the circuit assembly.
