In a preferred embodiment of the invention there is a drain 1 for receiving rainwater around the threshold of a building. It takes in water from ground level, and also that dropping from the cladding of the building. The drain 1 has a channel with side walls 2, 3 of different heights, a base 4 and a grate 8. The grate 8 has a first level and a second level, one being substantially higher than the other, and is movable to enable access to the channel, for example for painting the lower edge of the cladding. |
