摘要 |
PURPOSE:To prevent sticking between a magnetic head and a magnetic disk without causing head crash or adverse affect on a magnetic film by removing burrs from the substrate by re-grinding the surface of the substrate with an abrasive of specified grain size. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a magnetic disk substrate made of titanium is machined by texturing grinding and then again ground with an abrasive of >4000 grain size number to remove burrs produced in the texturing process. Thereby, sticking between the disk and a magnetic head can be prevented without causing head crash or adverse affect on the magnetic film, and high recording density can be realized. |
