POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can exhibit stable moldability even when it contains water or it remains in a molding machine for a long time by mixing polyethylene terephthalate with a specified epoxy resin, a thermoplastic resin, a phosphorus stabilizer and a glass fiber in a specified mixing ratio. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate is mixed with 1-25 pts.wt. bisphenol epoxy resin (desirably bisphenol A epoxy resin) of an epoxy equivalent of 1000 or below, 5-50 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (e.g. styrene resin or polycarbonate), 0.1-2 pts.wt. phosphorus stabilizer (desirably pentaerythritol phosphite) and 5-150 pts.wt. glass fiber. The title composition which has improved moldability and can give a molding of stable properties even when it contains a small amount of water or it remains in a molding machine for a long time can be obtained.
