The invention refers to a device for receiving a liquid-jet of a liquid-jet-cutting eqipment. Said device comprises a receiving chamber provided with a liquid-jet inlet and a liquidjet outlet, and at least one deflecting plate located in said receiving chamber, the plane of said deflecting plate being inclined with respect to the axis of the liquid-jet, and at least that surface of said deflecting plate which faces the liquidjet being made of a sintered material having a hardness of at least 9 in Mohs' scale of hardness.
