An acid addition salt of the optically active alaninanilide compounds represented by the formula: . wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom, a benzoyl group or a toluoyl group; and the carbon atom marked with (R) means a carbon atom in a form of R-configuration, and pharmaceutical compositions containing such compound, and which are useful for drugs for treatment of arrhythmias, thrombosises or ischemic cardiac insufficiencies.
