PURPOSE:To speed up and stabilize measuring operation by moving a spindle back by a motor, arranging a drive changeover switch for the motor, and providing a constant pressure device in a power transmission path. CONSTITUTION:When a toggle switch is operated, a DC geared motor 21 is driven forward to transmit its rotation to the spindle 8 through a train wheel 23 and the constant device 24, thereby moving the spindle 8 forth torward an anvil. When a body to be measured is clamped between the anvil and spindle 8 through the forward movement of the spindle 8, measured pressure applied to the anvil 8 rises. At this time, if said measured pressure exceeds a specific value, a drum 40 idles to a friction spring 45 provided to the outer periphery of the rotation transmission ring 43 of the constant pressure device 24, so that the measured pressure applied to the spindle 8 is held constant. |
