PURPOSE:To improve efficiency for simultaneous search by searching a data by using a multi-address communicating means such as a communication satellite, etc., in respect to a data base site connected by a ground communication network. CONSTITUTION:A remote learning system is composed of a center station 10, data base sites 20A-20C and communication satellite 40 which are connected by a wide area network 30. A terminal station 24 is connected through a LAN to the site 20A. When the site 20A searches a desired data to be a directory for the site itself, first of all, a command to search the objective data is sent to the center station 10. This searching command is transmitted through the communication satellite 10 to all the sites 20. Any one of the sites 20 having the objective data transmits this objective data to the site 20A directly or indirectly through the wide area network 30 and the center station 10.
