PURPOSE:To infer the delicate difference of a design element by providing a knowledge data base in which the relation of evaluation vocabulary with the design element is regulated by a fuzzy set at the design device of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A fuzzy intelligence data base(FIDB) obtained by a functional evaluation experiment is provided with an adjective data base 11, and an image data base 23. Also, a fuzzy graphic data base (FGDB) is equipped with a shape data base 25, and a color data base 27. Firstly, in step S1, the evaluation vocabulary representing feeling is inputted from a keyboard. In steps S2, S3, the category of the design element of vehicle interior is inferred from the FIDB by the evaluation vocabulary. In step S4, the design element is displayed in a picture by the FGDB. In step S5, an item is changed when a display picture is not conformed to the image of a user, etc.
