Seed-planting device, seed rod, rod for planting of forest with seed The rod comprises two tubes 1,2. A longer, inner tube 1 sits inside a shorter, outer tube 2. In the lower end of the two tubes there are bored seed holes 3,4. In the bottom of the inner tube 1, the seed tube, there is a conical pin 5 which makes it easier for the seeds to flow out. In the bottom of the outer tube 2 there is a plug 6 which serves as a stop plug for the inner tube 1. The tubes 1,2 are coupled together by means of a helical spring 7 which is fastened in the tubes 1,2 by steel washers 8. The tubes 1,2 are fastened such that a free- flow space 9 is obtained between the conical pin 5 of the tube 1 and the bottom plug 6 of the outer tube 2. The rod is thus made to spring when it is pressed against a firm foundation. When this occurs, the seed holes 3 in the inner tube 1, which are oval, will end up directly opposite the seed holes 4 in the outer tube 2, which are round, whereupon a suitable number of seeds flow out. As soon as the pressure on the rod eases, it springs up again and the flow of seed is shut off. <IMAGE> |
