PURPOSE:To obtain an ink pressure detector suitable for detection of an ink residual quantity in an ink cartridge of an ink jet system recorder by a method wherein a spring compressed with a passage component and a spring stopper ring, and a pair of contact points provided at positions conducted to each other by abutting against a diaphragm by resiliency of the spring, are established. CONSTITUTION:A passage component 801 having an ink passage in its inside, a diaphragm 807 so fitted to the passage component as to cover an opening 805 interconnecting to the ink passage provided to the passage component, at least two detent pieces of which basic ends are fixed to a central part of the diaphragm and of which to top ends detents 811A are provided, a spring stopper ring 829 which is stopped by passing through its inside with the detent of the detent piece, a spring 823 which is compressed with the passage component and the spring stopper ring between the spring stopper ring and the diaphragm, and a pair of contact points 829, 831 which are provided to positions conducted to each other by abutting against said diaphragm by resiliency of the spring, are established. By such a structure the diaphragm 807 moves in correspondence with negative pressure within a specific range of ink in the ink passage 803, and a support component releases the contact point components 829, 831. Then, ink pressure within the specific range can be detected by no regulation. |
