A bracket for securing the headboard to the base of a bed comprising a first section and a second section, both L-shaped in cross-section, whereby the interior angle between the first section and the second section can range between 90.degree. and less than 180.degree.. The bracket enables the headboard to be fixed at either standard (90.degree. angle) or inclined position relative to the base, solely by rotating the bracket by 90.degree. around its vertical axis.
