PURPOSE: To provide a light-emitting panel which can achieve uniform illumination. CONSTITUTION: Three sheets of transparent glass plates 1, 2 and 3 are sealed at peripheral edges thereof, building two gas-discharging interspaces 7 and 7'. The plates 1, 2 and 3 are held with two identical arrays of pillars 10 and 10' which are formed, being integrated with the plates 1, 2 and 3, in the peripheral edges of the plates 1, 2 and 3. A lower side face 12 of a downside plate 3 is formed in a shape of a reversed truncated pyramid and a reflecting layer 15 is overlaid on the lower side face 12. The light-emitting panel is provided with: electrodes 21 and 22 which ordinarily generate discharge and emit light in a top side gas-discharging space 7; electrodes 25 and 24 which are used for exciting a down side gas-discharging space 7' in case, for example, that the top side gas-discharging space is out of order; and a reflector 13 for reflecting light preferentially to an interior of a pillar 10'. |
