The guide-rail system disclosed has, fitted on each side of the drawer, a sliding rail (5) attached to the drawer, a support rail (6) attached to the main body of the piece of furniture and an intermediate rail (2) running between these two rails (5, 6). Runners (7) are fitted containing load-transmission rollers. The intermediate rails (2) have an inverted-U section in which the rollers in the runners (7), which transmit the weight of the drawer from the intermediate rails (2) to the support rails (6), run. Fitted on top of the intermediate rails (2) are gliders (17) which transmit the load from the sliding rails (5) to the intermediate rails (2). The sliding rails (5) have a U-shaped section with an additional horizontal lip (4) at the bottom which supports the gliders (17) underneath and acts as a safety device preventing the drawer from being lifted out. |
