PURPOSE:To find out a fault of a network before a detrimental fault is caused by allowing an electronic computer system in a communication network to display the state of the network as an easy to see pattern while utilizing an idle state on a screen as required. CONSTITUTION:A network statistic information management section 4 of an electronic computer 1 provided with a data transmission section 2 having a confirming function of a reply with respect to a transmission packet, a data reception section 3 having an error detection and incoming order detection function with respect to the reception packet and a network statistic information management section 4 managing the error information detected by the data transmission section 2 and the data reception section 3, is provided with a graph generating means 7 generating and updating a fault occurrence statistic graph at a newest point of time from the error information of the data transmission section 2 and the data reception section 3 in an idle state and a display means 8 displaying a fault occurrence statistic graph 11 on a part of a screen of a display device 9.
