PURPOSE:To set the attitude of the steering wheel of a vehicle correctly and in simple manner. CONSTITUTION:A torque sensor 5 for detecting the torque in the vertical direction which is applied on a steering wheel is installed, and a drive control part 9 controls a driving means 7 on the basis of the detected torque value and drives the steering wheel in the upward or downward direction. The operation of the drive control part 6 is performed only in the case where a permission signal is outputted from a drive permission judging part 4. The drive permission judging part 4 outputs a permission signal, when a reset signal is outputted from a reset switch 3, and a car speed sensor 1 detects the zero value of the vehicle traveling speed, and a gear position sensor 2 detects that the gear position of a speed change gear is at a nontraveling position. Accordingly, the attitude of a steering wheel can be correctly, and the set attitude is prevented from being changed inadvertently. |
