PURPOSE:To make it possible to get a set by embossing rolls 11 and 12 in a short time when a material W in the from of sheet undergoes the contact bonding by the rolls 11 and 12 without leaving impressions in an embossing apparatus. CONSTITUTION:When one of a pair of embossing rolls is pressed against the other with a hydraulic cylinder 15, oil is fed from two switching valves for high speed 23a and 23b by means of hydraulic control means 22 and the cylinder is expanded at a high speed till immediately before the contact to shorten the setting time, followed by a change that the cylinder is expanded at a low speed not to make any impression by branching off the oil from a switching valve for low speed 24 and reducing the feeding amount thereof by half. |
