PURPOSE:To prepare the title soln. excellent in film-forming properties in casting by dissolving a specific random copolycarbonate resin in an org. solvent. CONSTITUTION:The title soln. is prepd. by dissolving a random copolycarbonate resin comprising structural units of formulas I, II, and III in a molar ratio of to structural units of formula I to those of formula II of (35:65)-(65:35) and in a ratio of the structural units of formula III to the total of the structural units of 0.1-50wt.% and having a viscosity-average mol.wt. of 15,000-100,000 in an org. solvent. In these formulas, R<1> to R<8> are each H, halogen, or 1-4C alkyl; A is 1-10C linear, branched, or cyclic alkylidene, aryl-substd. alkylidene, aryl, or sulfonyl; R<9> is 2-6C alkylene or alkylidene; R<10> and R<11> are each 1-3C alkyl or (substd.) phenyl; and n is 1-200. An example of the structural unit of formula I is one derived from a dihydric phenol such as bisphenol A or 1, 1-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) ethylbenzene. |
