METHOD FOR PURIFICATION OF IGF-I

A human insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) is purifyed by (a) centrifuging human IGF-I-contg. culture broth, (b) diluting the obtd. supernatent with D.W. and adjusting to pH 5.6, (c) passing the obtd. soln. through weak anion exchange resin and 10 mM phosphate buffer soln. (pH 5.6), (d) dissolving human IGF-I fraction with 150-200 mM NaCl soln. and (e) passing the obtd. fraction through DE cation exchange resin and 10 mM tris buffer soln. to obtain the final product. The method is useful for the purification of human IGF-I with high purity.
