PURPOSE:To reduce the axial dimensions of a valve hole by forming the end surface of a spool side portion of a plunger of the above hydraulic control valve in such a manner as to include the forward end of the plunger side portion of a spool in a hydraulic control device of an automatic speed change gear. CONSTITUTION:An accumulator is connected to a supply and discharge oil path for working fluid supplied to a hydraulic servo for operating a frictional engagement element in a transmission. The first and second accumulator control valves 480, 490 are interposed between a back pressure supply oil path 1K for the accumulator and a line pressure generation oil path 1. In this case, the first accumulator control valve 480 comprises a sleeve 405 fitted in a hole 404a of a valve body 404 and a spool 481 extended to the interior of the lower hole 404a, which is fitted in the sleeve 405. A large-diameter plunger 483 having a cylindrical portion 485 projecting in such a manner as to include the upper end surface 489a of the spool 481 is disposed in series above the spool 481. |
