PURPOSE:To carry out a smooth gear changing operation without error by displaying the present gear change position and a gear change position to which a gear can be changed in a speed change gear in which a gear change position for an automatic transmission is selected by operating a select switch. CONSTITUTION:When a gear change position command signal from a select switch 2 is inputted into a logical section 1 through an input control circuit 3, a correspondent gear change position shifting signal is outputted to a motor drive circuit 4, and the manual valve of an automatic transmission is shifted to a certain gear change position by means of a motor 5. This gear change position is detected by means of a detecting device 7 and, in accordance with this output, the present gear change position is displayed on a display section 9 through a first gear change position display device 8. Also, the output from the logical section 1 controls a second gear change position display device 10, displaying the present gear change position and a gear change position to which a gear can be shifted in accordance with the driving condition of a car, on its display section 11. |
