This invention, called "mesh roller", is an aid in finite element computer applications. The mesh roller is a finite element pre-processor which enables 3-D ruled surfaces to be meshed in 2-D, and then transformed to their desired shape with no element distortion. Desired element size uniformity, aspect ratio and/or skewness are all preserved during the transformation process, while during the mesh generation process all elements are shown in their true view allowing one to be in control over mesh quality.
