PURPOSE: To obtain an antioxidant useful for a food such as butter, etc., not yellowing, a cosmetic or skin medicine, showing synergistic effects, combining a tocopherol or its derivative with an non-thiolated polypeptide and a basic amino acid. CONSTITUTION: This antioxidant is obtained by combining a tocopherol such asα-tocopherol or tocopherol acetate or its derivative (0.5-20wt.%) with an non-thiolated polypeptide (preferably 1,000-10,000 molecular weight, 0.5-90wt.%) and a basic amino acid such as lysine or arginine (0.5-50wt.%). The antioxidant is useful for an oily substance, mainly as a cosmetic. |
