PURPOSE:To automatically enter a close-up photographic mode, to perform and facilitate focusing operation by an automatic focus matching means by continuously pressing a variable power operation. lever at a wide-angle end further toward the wide-angle side for a constant time. CONSTITUTION:When a photographer continues to operate the variable power operation lever 7 further toward the wide-angle side while the lens 12 of a variable power system is at the wide-angle end, an automatic focus adjusting circuit 6 detects its operation information, and stops the automatic focus matching operation of the lens 11 of a main focus system by a driving circuit 3 and a motor 2 and fixes the lens 11 of the main focus system; and the lens of the power variation system is driven by a driving circuit 5 and a motor 4 within a close-up photographic area to switch the controlled system so that the focus matching operation in the close-up photographic mode is performed, thereby carrying out the focusing operation. Then when the photographer operates the power varying operation lever 7 from the wide-angle end to the telephoto side, the close-up photographic mode is released and variable power mode is entered, so that the automatic focus matching circuit 6 is switched to the lens 11 of the image main focus system to be controlled. |
