A heat sensitive recording paper is composed of heat sensitive coloring layer, an under-coating layer and a base paper. The heat sensitive coloring agent is containing leuco dye and developer as a main component. The under-coating layer composed of (1) a inorganic or organic pigment as a main component, (2) a plastic pigment and (3) a binder is inserted between the heat sensitive layer and the base paper. The recording paper has a high speed recording, and is used for therml recording in facsimile, printer etc..
