PURPOSE:To improve anti-bias abrasion advantageously while maintaining high snow traction function for the entire body of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:At least one-directional sipe is formed on each block partitioned by a circumferential groove extended in the direction of the circumference of a tire, and by a width directional groove extended in the direction where it crosses with the circumferential groove. For a heavy load radial tire for winter, a condition LS/LB>=0.8 is met, where LB is projection length in the direction of the width of a tread on the block edge of each block, per unit length in the circumferential direction of the tire, and LS is projection length in the direction of the width of each sipe, while a groove depth DF in the width direction of a tire installed on a non-driving steering shaft is shallower than a groove depth DD of the width direction groove of a tire installed on a driving shaft. |
