PURPOSE:To obtain a selective call radio receiver provided with a data bank function by sending information desired privately to store in the receiver subsequently to a personal identification number, and storing this information in an EPROM. CONSTITUTION:Its own call number is detected, and message information subsequent to it is fetched to a control part 4, and the presence of the special symbol of the message information is discriminated. If the special symbol is decided to be present, the personal identification number is read out of the EPROM 5, and is compared with numeral information put between the special symbols. In the case of the coincidence of the personal identification number, a message subsequent to it is decided to be the information necessary for a receiver carrying person, and is written in the EPROM 5. Then, the read-out of the message information is executed by using switches 9, 10.
