<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the television receiver using a liquid crystal having high performance and high reliability by constituting a display device of a liquid crystal display panel in which a complementary driving element provided with an insulation gate type field effect transistor of a P channel type (PTFT) and an insulation gate type transistor of an N channel type (NTFT) is used as a driving element of a picture element. CONSTITUTION:In the case of an inverter type, an input terminal of a PTFT 13 is connected to a pair of signal lines 5 or 6 in the X axis direction, and an input terminal of an NTFT 22 is connected to a second signal line 8 or 7 in a pair of signal lines in the X axis direction. Subsequently, in a period in which a signal waveform is applied to a pair of first signal lines 5 or 6, and a second signal line 8 or 7, the thin thickness transistors 13, 22 of complementary constitution are driven by applying the signal waveform to a third signal line 3, and a display of a picture element is turned on or off. When driving is executed in such a way, the liquid crystal display can be executed by only applying a very simple pulse signal to a data line, a pair of data lines and a pair of scanning lines.</p> |
