摘要 A design method for an optical element arranged in correspondence with a corresponding one of a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix pattern to form a pixel array and configured to focus light. The method comprises selecting a first optical element whose information concerning a shape is known and which is arranged at a position close to the center of the pixel array and a second optical element whose information concerning a shape is known and which is arranged closer to the periphery of the pixel array than the first optical element, and determining information concerning a shape of a third optical element arranged at a position different from positions of the first optical element and the second optical element by using the information concerning the shape of the first optical element and the information concerning the shape of the second optical element.
