Vehicle-borne conveyor belt 1 for loading containers 2 into and unloading them from the hold of an aircraft, the front, pivotal section 7 of the conveyor belt being manoeuvred by means of a hydraulic piston 71 for mooring to the sill 8 of the hold. The hydraulic piston 71 serves thereafter as a detection member (reduced hydraulic pressure) for motions of the fuselage 9 in the vertical direction and controls the adjustment of the vehicle- borne conveyor belt 1, mounted slidably in hydraulically manoeuvred lifting arms, to an at all times horizontal position level with the hold floor of the aircraft. The front section 7 is additionally, in a side plane, parallel with the longitudinal direction of the fuselage, pivotably attached to the conveyor belt 1 in a bearing bush 75 and is manoeuvrable for tilting in the said plane by means of a hydraulic piston 77, which allows the front section 7 to be adjusted to the longitudinal tilt of the fuselage. In the front section there are also fitted detection members 90, which register the motions of the fuselage in the lateral direction and initiate the adjustment of the conveyor belt 1 to the said motions. To enable the container to be introduced into the hold and to be lifted from the conveyor belt, the front section is provided with hydraulically manoeuvrable guides 78,85 and hydraulic lifting pistons 87,88. <IMAGE> |
