PURPOSE:To protect passengers of a vehicle from impact in case of a collision of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:An air bag main body 3 comprises a pair of disk-shaped sheets 10, 11 which are made to abut at their peripheral edges on each other and these abutting edges 14 are stuck together. A reinforcing tape 9 is stuck to the inner surface of each abutting edge 14 across both of the sheets 10, 11. To stick the tape 9, an adhesive is used and air bubbles on the sticking surface is removed by thermal compression so that the tape 9 is brought into sealing contact with the inner surface and the leakage of gas from the abutting edges 14 of the sheets 10, 11 is prevented so as to improve the stickiness and durability of the air bag. |
